Friday evening we flew from DFW to London, then London to Copenhagen and finally a train from Copenhagen to Malmö. We are happy to report that we had a rather uneventful travel day, no delays, no worries and no lost bags. Wahoo! Upon arriving in Malmö we were greated by our lovely AirBnB host, Ann. She was so sweet taking us on a tour around the apartment and giving us tips and tricks for our time here. We had a simple dinner at a resturant called La Grappa, before we went to bed at the late hour of 10pm (; We spent our Sunday exploring our new home and snapping a few fun pictures around town. Marissa is our living google maps and did a wonderful job keeping track of where we werer and how we got there. In the afternoon we meet Mats our contact from the local university in Malmö. He kindly met us at the apartment and showed us our route to get to school each day as well as other fun facts and areas around town. It was so sweet to meet Mats and learn more about his work in the educational field. He has invited us to attend two of his classes later this week and next week. He also introduced us to the Swedish concept of Fika which means coffee break. In Sweden, Fika usually occurs at 10am and again at 2pm complete with coffee and Swedish pastries. A concept we are all totally on board for. We are looking forward to attending school tomorrow and meeting our new students! Stay tuned and check out the gallery for pictures thus far.
